Nice pics. But the flying car will never achieve widespread use. Car and Driver magazine examioned this issue about 10 years ago.
Since the 1920's, the flying car was always just around the corner. But todays safety regulations make a flying car highly improbable, because a car would simply be far too heavy to fly, once it meets all the automotive.related safety regulations.
It's much more likely that a flying motorcycle would be feasable, since bikes have minimal safety regulations to meet. But imagine a bike with collapsible, ultralight plane-type wings. It would make a bad ultralight and a bad plane but would be achievable. Not practical, mind you.
