This might be too late... but why not try first get the car, then buy the workshop manuals to the car.
You'll need to get a laptop with OBD2 software for tuning and diagnosing problems.
Mind you, this project could entail into alot of money should you decide to customize your ride. You'll need tools, etc to use, unless you have a friend who owns a workshop you can use.
