I have the Revell Mclaren on the workbench, must admit I was not impressed when I opened the box. The kit required a LOT of prep work to make it look decent, but hopefully a good paint job will solve all the other woes.
Tamiya only make the current Ferrari's, not the McLaren, they made a McLaren MP4/13 which I have, but we are now past the MP4/16 and they have yet to make anything further. The Revell McLaren kit is an MP4/12 kit, which I got because the scale, I am looking forward to building my Tamiya McLaren though.
Either way, I am sure you will make a great model out of that kit, just remember to be patient.
