with this being a truck clanks/clunks are the norm...what about the rear wheel locking up ?
cracks not wear is the issue like I stated.....the teeth if cracked will fall off the the dif will lock up.
the inside of the cover has a magnet..the cover has a dimple, the inside of the cover were this dimple is is a good sized magnet where the gear teeth throw the oil onto the cover.
just trying to help you understand what they did is not correct...
the drain plug is to reduce spillage only....
