Re: Multiple Computer Codes - 2002 Ford F150 4.2L Engine

GEEESE! or a damaged wire bundle. It it running as bad as it looks? Got to be running in default mode. Which will get you home but that's about it. Trying to fallow the Cat theory, does it stall out after a sudden op.temp increase and resemble a jumped timing chain when attempting to restart? Back fire? The manuf. specific codes are additional circuit failures & an actual short circuit! One of the failures is the ignition system monitor circuit. I think I'd check for a damaged wire bundle especially around a high heat source. A clogged Cat can get white hot. (Usually before they explode. I wish I were kidding! I was doing 70 mph at the time) I'd start w/ the wires & connection sockets of the o2 sensors. You definitely have a dead short somewhere in the mix! 140k is about right if he's a habitual higher than 87 octane user. That's the quickest way to kill Cats! I found out the hard way.
