Sorry, I somehow missed this thread. In the linkage on your first picture above, that hole next to the accelerator cable connector is where a 1" stud goes - cruise control connects to this stud.

As for the TV cable problem, Bowtie Overdrives makes a kit for exactly that issue - www.tvmadeez.com for information as well.
