After about two weeks, the SES light was still on, so I had it manually cleared by my local Advance Auto. That was about a month ago, and it has NOT come back on! Woo-hoo! I think this problem is solved. The van is still running strong, excellent throttle response, transmission shift points are correct, idles smooth.
