I have a 2001 Aurora 3.5L with 145,000 miles on it. Bought it in 2002 with 22,000 miles. It runs great and still looks great. It has needed some work over the years. I just bought some parts online from Rockauto that I'm installing this weekend - new secondary air pump, drivers door lock actuator and replacement coolant level sensor. The air pump is making a noise like it is near end of life, the door lock actuator works 9 of 10 times and the coolant level sensor needs replacing. I drive from Portland to Seattle 2 to 4 times per week and enjoy the comfort of the car. I've only taken it into the dealer 4 times over the years for repairs, everything else I've done myself. The two worst repair jobs were replacing the high pressure hose to the power steering pump and the other was replacing the crankshaft position sensor. My last trip to the dealer was when I had a flashing check engine light due to a misfire on 3 and 5 and I was out of town. The dealer diagnosed it as needing a new fuel filter and an injector cleaning. It worked great after that and didn't cost much.
