Having worked for parts stores in the past I can attest to the fact that sometimes you will get a defective part right out of the box irregardless of the manufacturer. I've seen it many times and double check the items I buy no matter where I buy it from, or who the manufacturer is.
I agree about parts being outsourced and such. I agree about getting bad parts right out of the box. But I do not agree with getting something that is advertised as one brand and getting the generic equivalent. After all, NAPA had the genuine Delco product. And how would you explain the OEM O2 but sent a universal? If I pay for a SONY TV, I want a SONY TV, not a SORNY. If I pay for a SONY TV and you send me a SORNY, I expect you to make it right, not ignore any communication. Same goes for the bad part. If I buy a SONY TV and it does not work, I want you to make it right by either fixing it or sending me one that does. After all, I did pay for a product and I expect it to work. You want to ignore the customers, that's fine. You lose the customers. As I said, I know people who use them and are happy with them, but 2 for 2 they basically screwed me and would not return any attempt I made to make it right. I'm glad they work for you, but they aren't getting another dime from me and I will let everyone who considers them know how they treat customers. I just hope the people who do buy from them never do have a problem, especially on expensive parts. Or high labor parts. And just an FYI, I started working in the shop in 1986. ASE and Icar.
