yes my 1999 model did it on the same door ,do not take panel off the rear door .open the rear door and you will see a wire loom coming off the door and connecting to the door post,undo the connecter by pulling downwards,then peel back covering around wires you will see1or maybee more wires broken they are all color coded so you can rejoin them with a crimplin set or wind them together with electrical tape (not recomended though) as will come apart again you could solder them though MARK
