There'll be a File Types tab. Select that.
Go down the list and look for the file extension that you want changed back.
Select it. And then pick the Change button. From there you can select whatever application you want to run it.
If you want Windows Media player to play most of it, you can use the following out of the Media player.
Go to Tools/Options menu item within the program.
Pick the formats tab.
Select what extensions you want to use the media player for.
Say OK.

Thanks Yogs. But the problem is fixed. I know you would of helped.
I contacted winamp and told them what happened. I reinstalled it the same way I did that day, then in the preferences I de-selected any ext that had to do with video. All icons were restored and functionality is back. But thank you anyway cuz pretty much what you wrote there was also done.
