Welcome to the forum!

Pulling the bulb will not make your Explorer "operational." It will just allow you to momentarily ignore a system that, on the contrary, is not operational.

Fixing the source of the ABS diagnostic code would make the truck operational. And, it would be a pretty good guess to replace the rear ABS speed sensor on the differential to solve the issue. That is a common part to go out, and if I were to shotgun parts, I would start there on your truck.
