I wasn't satisfied with the silvering on the decals, so i had to do something radical

Instead of a shiny good looking van, I decided to add some damage and rust on the body.

I first bought some real rust stuff.



The base coat is a thick paint with metal. This must be drying for about 12 hours before you can add the solution on it. The more solution you add, the more rust you get.

I made some damage with a knife and fire on the body. After that I sanded the body to make it flat, and added the base coat on it.



















Meanwhile the solution is doing his work. The rust is very realistic and one of the best (but expensive) i've ever seen!
