I did get the valve guide seals with the gasket kit so I'm good there. I didn't have a good way to give the intake/heads a chemical bath, so I put the wife to work with carb cleaner and a wire brush and it's turning out pretty good. Amazingly enough the tops of my pistons are VERY clean. We're finishing the cleaning this evening and then it's on it's way back together. The only bump we've run into (besides time) is that two of the exhaust studs sheared off on the front exhaust manifold. Fortunately they're easy to drill out and replace for $6.
