When the vacuum actuator has vacuum applied to it, it pulls a cable that engages the right front axle shaft. Follow the vacuum line from the actuator, it will take you right to the vacuum switch on the transfer case. There are 3 lines on the vacuum switch: One goes to engine manifold vacuum, one vents to atmosphere, and the third goes to the actuator under the battery.
