The drain hose should not cause an electrical issue with the blower motor but the drain hose helps get condensation (water) out to drain otherwise it just accumulates in the lower HVAC assembly and then may come into the cabin. What brand blower motor did you get?
Also, do you have the CJ2 dual zone ACC (automatic climate control) system or the manual?
