usually 1 qt over will cause foaming of the fluid and bad shifting...always top off when hot...slowly a few oz at a time...

to remove with out wrenches use a hand pump with a 3.5 ft of 3/8 plastic tubing....I have a gear oil hand/qt bottle pump that with the 3/8 tubing will quickly suck out the fluid...stick tubing down the fill/dip stick tube...
