Hey ebreiner, and Welcome to AF !

Sorry I didnt get back sooner!!

If the ring is bent try and straighten it the best you can, if at all possible, and see if that works.
The spring will make up for a small defect but the spring needs to also be straight and not bent over. If its bent it will just fall over when you turn the steering wheel.

Yeah my thread totaly says; "be very careful to DEPRESS the spring loaded horn pin, or your horn will not work when you are finished"

If you need, I might be able to get some instructions on the steering wheel up shortly...
