I have a 2004 Dodge Neon and I have run into many different problems in the year that I have owned the car. Check engine lights( camshaft position sensor error code and P0700 as well with every different error code imaginable. Transmission problems that included slipping and hard to shift into reverse. Dash lights that intermittently flashed and then worked fine. I have replaced various things. with limited success. I finally noticed a pattern and without a doubt every time I got my engine wet usually while I was washing the car with the hood open and cleaning it with a water hose or spraying engine cleaner on it is when the problems would start. after the engine dries out the problems stop. All I had to do was sometimes clear the check engine light by disconnecting the battery cable. Hope this helps someone.
