Re: 2001 Accent Transmission Oil Plug location

There is no transmission filter "plug". Under the transmission, you see many little bolts around. Remove all the bolts, trans oil will start leaking out of the gasket.

Then remove the trans pan, then you'll see the filter inside the trans. Change it, scrap the sealant, change also the gasket. Raplace everything and add sealant.

Then fill the oil in the trans.

It's not an easy procedure, but it can be done.

A Windstar without having the check engine light is not a real Windstar.
