what is important is using the correct belt....length and width are very important...the idler tensioner has a mark on it ...this should line up with the other non movable mark....
using a shorter belt WILL damage your other componet bearings as well..
to find out what is making the noise use a hose one end in your ear the other probing the areas you want to listen to....
if you go to the dealer be prepared for a good amount to pay.. good luck..

The Tensioner marks are in between the lines so it appears to be a good fit. It is not a factory direct belt though as it came from the auto parts store itself. I will give the hose thing a try since the Dealership has not got back with me about bringing it in. I am sure that it is something simple as I take good care of the truck. I just cannot afford to go and by a new truck and want to head off problems as quickly as I can.
