Ok, so I figured out which are my TCCS and PCS solenoids and I have them in hand. I managed to get a dealer down here to make a copy of the GM tranny manual, valve body page. So from what I can see, the PCS and the TCCS go into the side of the valve body. So why is this tranny shop telling me the tranny must be dropped to change these?
As I remember 99.9% of valve bodies are in the pan area and that's where the filter goes as well. Please.... ANYONE, if you have actually done your solenoids or have had them done and seen the setup, please let me know which is it? I have 1 tranny shop offering to do the job for 300 but another shop saying the tranny dosen't need to come down, just the valve body and if he's gonna do it, He's got an opening on Saturday, but I gotta let him know ASAP. The car is a 99 Lumina 3.8, 4t65-e. Thank you, anyone, in advance.
