In my 39 years on this planet I have
Seen active service for my country,
Travelled extensively
Lived in a long term relationship,and paid for all of the 'stuff' that makes a habitable home.
Been present at the birth of both my children,and done my best to see that they get a proper childhood.
Suffered a mental disorder,and spent time in psychiatric care.
Managed my own business
Lost my best friend to suicide
Owned any number of expensive trinkets,and realised that none of them were worth a damn thing
