P.S. Purchased car 2/07 with 43,000 orignal miles. As of today 4/29/09. the car has 100,500 miles. That's how much i've put on it in 2 years since this economy has forced me to part with my car payment and make this a daily driver. Damn

the exhaust system should be replaced if bad ....this can damage other componets.....one time on my 73 impala the exhaust pipe leaked at a point next to the drive shaft U joint.. I had to fix the u joint and exhaust system....
I buy my vehicles new 0 miles then get lifetime warrantee...one vehicle got 7 exhaust systems cat back for 90.oo US....
since you have little cash the best thing to do is replace cat back if this is all thats needed...
the crossover pipes you need a pro to remove....
expect 3 years in the rust belt with the steel exhaust pipes where you live with your mileage..
