I'm definitely not an expert, but I think you need the ECM from the donor truck. If that truck is long gone you'll have to search for another '94 with manual trans and the same options as your current z71. Get some other opinions and good luck.

I'm doing the same swap on a '94 Saturn and I will definitely need the ECM from the donor.
