The tranny is a manual, and there's no strange noises when it stalls. When I clutch to coast to a stop, the RPM's just ramp down to zero. When it first starts to happen (as the engine is close to heated up to normal operating temps) it'll stutter a bit and then either stabilize or stall. I can keep it going by giving it gas, but it's kind of hard to gas, clutch, and brake at the same time in stop-and-go taffic.
