If you are going to get a new winshield soon, just let them know to fix that for you when that happens. I was not able to take the wiper arms out, so I went to to glass shop, the guy took those wipers out and did exactly what I was going to do, only thing I did not know how to do it. Then, couple of months later I had to go back to replace my windshield!! Hehehehe, so. You can kill both birds on one shot if you like. Of course, you can DIY, it provides more satisfaction, instantly.
