I am looking to buy a new car this summer and i am wondering what to do with my current car.
My car..
-1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo
-171,000 miles
-Nice outside, Mint inside
-engine runs a little rough
-lots of new fixes and little add-ons here and there.
-passed inspection S+E
So yea i know its old and the miles are ridiculous for resale so, where does that put me? I have had people tell me that the dealer will offer me at least a few thousand because i am buying a 13,000 car, but also some say they won't give me anything worth while. Kbb buts the vehicle around the 1,500-2,000 but I'm not sure a private party would even pay that, at this point and with the fuel economy and high miles. So what im wondering is what can i expect from a dealer and where should i draw the line? When would it be worth it to go through the trouble of listing and selling it privately? All the info anyone can throw at me is much appreciated. Thank you.
