Re: 94 Lesabre turns it self off and back on????
follow the thinner black wire off the battery negative post, it connects to a stud on the passenger side inner fender right next to the battery, there are three other black wires on the same stud, these are the grounds for the PCM (on-board computer) replace the connecters on these grounds, as well as the connectors on the grounds located on the studs under the ICM coil pack (2 tan and white wires + 3 black wires). also, be sure and clean the other grounds I mentioned in the post. it is an easy job and will save you $$$ and headaches. to answer your other question, the oxidation was not readily visible on the connectors but it was there, I only discovered it when I cut the connecters and stripped the wires, that's what made it so frustrating, you could not tell the connecters were corrded just by looking at them, had I known this I would have replaced them immediately instead of just cleaning the mating surfaces. Any other time I encountered corroded connectors you could tell just by looking at them, not so in this instance.
