Do you still have your original ignition switch? A lot of times when the DIC starts acting up that may be the first signs of an ignition switch going bad. The 12 volt supply is being affected due to carbon buildup on the electrical contacts. The carbon acts like a resistor or causes arcing. As it gets worse over time you may see other accessories start acting up like the headlights, climate control, cruise control, etc.

I had the same issue about 4 years ago. I remove the ignition switch, took it apart and cleaned the contacts. The DIC has not acted up since.
