axels are easy to replace on you own. It shouldn't take more than a couple hours. Check the tipps and maintenance subforum for a step by step guide.

The coolant leak sounds like a bad lower intake gasket. What motor is in it? If its the 3100, take a look under the throttle body and under the power steering pump. If its the 3800, check near the fuel injectors and valve covers.
