Thank you. Thank you. You just saved me hundreds of $$. I had just that very same thing happen where only full speed would work and sure enough, the circuit was blower and cooked. The part must have come down in price because I only paid $27 at our Mercury dealer for the resistor. Have I said thank you yet? I'm sure the dealer would have wanted to replace the blower or head unit.
