I had a short section of brake line start leaking today from the junction at the axle to one of the rear brakes. I was at work and didn't want to risk driving it home. Dealer wanted $200, muffler man $50.

Picked it up from Muffler man and looked underneath and it is plastic flexible line?

Never heard of such a thing? Is this something new?
I never seen this before..is this a used vehicle?...only steel approved brake lines are used...I have seen rubber/spiral steel coverings, but these lines are all usually 1/4inch dia...with flare fitting...

normally the line or a section of line is removed then the replacement is flared into place...
