I purchased a 1995 Lincoln Town Car Cartier for $2000.00.

The transmission is definitely slipping on hills such that I have to get a "running start" to make it up the top. The dealer is giving me B.S. about this being normal.

Should I let him try to repair it at his shop? There is a thirty day express warranty on engine and transmission.

How much am I looking at to repair this? Should I get a junkyard transmission for $600.00? How many hours would it take a shop to swap a transmission?
