For me...

May 2000: 1991 Ford Escort LX - Bought it 3 days before my 16th birthday, and boy did I ever want to drive it Only options on it were power steering and rear window defroster (which didn't even work anyways). It didn't even come with a cassette player when new, but had an aftermarket cassette player installed in the early 90's, and still has it now. August 2001, the car had major rust everywhere, so it went in for bodywork and a repaint in a new color (it used to be cream with black bumpers...:apuke: ). Painted in Ford 1998 "Antique Copper", which had been previously used, I understand, in the early 90's in Europe as "Cosworth Copper." Summer of 2002, the 5th gear shift fork wore out and the car would no longer stay in 5th gear, thus it wasn't highway worthy for the trip back up to Ontario for school, so it stayed at home and the new Sentra brought me here. The car has had the shift fork, shifter bushings, rear brakes, and rear brake lines all replaced in the past week, and my neighbour is currently considering buying it.

August 2002: 1994 Nissan Sentra XE - Bought the car out of necessity (because the ailing Escort couldn't make the trip up here to Ontario), but I wanted it anyways. 5-speed, like the Escort. It's always been garaged and has never had rust (quite a feat for a New Brunswick car), and, so far, is working well with no complaints from me.
