I've found that pine-based Simple Green cleaner does a good job of removing tree sap, even if it is old and hard. Not sure how easy it'll be for fresh sap, but likely easier than if it is aged and hard. Apply, let it sit for a few minutes, then rub with a paper towel. Repeat as necessary...could take 3-4 repeats for old sap, but it does work...used this for my Envoy that got puked on by a pine tree then got baked on as I tried everything else, even Goo Gone wouldn't work.
