99 Silverado - OBD-2?
My 99 SES light came on out of the blue and I need to learn the code. In the old days (OBD-1?) you could short out 2 pins on the port and the SESlight would flash the numbers for the error codes. I had a 87 Transam and this worked perfectly.
First, is the 99 OBD-2? And is there a way to do this little trick with this system? Or does a guy need to buy a reader?
