98 Town Car buzzing from dash center right

I have a 98 Town Car manufactured 7/97. There is a buzzing from the dash just right of the clock, close to windshield. Now when I say "buzzing" I don't mean like a rattle or vibration, This "buzzing" sounds like a Bee the size of a baseball inside a snare drum, and it seems to vary with the speed of the car. The buzzing starts at about 55mph and the faster you go the louder and more violent the buzzing becomes. I can slow down to 54 to 50mph and not a sound. I have banged on the dash, stuffed napkins between the dash and windshield, checked on the outside edge of the windshield / air intake for loose plastic, leaves, anything and can find nothing. I thought maybe a speedometer cable, but it's a digital dash and looking at the transmission I don't see a cable, but that's sure what it sounds like it would be if it had one. Running the AC or not, fan on slow or fast no change. This is driving me crazy, at 55mph and over it is so bad that it's pointless to have the radio on. The other strange thing is, it will be buzzing right along and then suddenly just stop without a change in speed, and then without notice, start right up again. Please forgive me if this is here on the forum, I did search for "buzzing from dash", "Dash noise" and a few others and didn't find anything. FYI, the car has 107,000 miles, but in very good shape, Also the sound is not effected by road condition, bumpy or smooth, no change at all, only speed. Any links to step by step of dash remove would be helpful also, got a feeling it's going to come to that. This is a challenge I think. Thanks for any help provided.
