I own a 1996 windstar and when coming to a stop, I hear this noise. To describe it, it sounds as if you were to place something against a gear while it is still turning. It only happens when you get down around 10-5mph. So you have to be near the end of your stopping. I was thinking it might be something to do with the ABS, but not sure. The ABS light can come on when this happens, but not everytime. And the ABS light will not stay on. You can definitely feel the chatter in the brake peddle when it happens. So, any ideas????

You can clearly hear it coming from the front of the van, and not the back. Front brakes were just recently done, and the noise started proir to that.
