You do not need the actual intake manifolds but the gaskets, in most cases. UIM plenum gasket, throttle body gasket and the lower intake manifold port and end piece gaskets and other consumables. Check out the Buick Tips & Maintenance subforum which has more info on the UIM and LIM gaskets.
Do you have a picture? Where is the upper and the lower gaskets?
Is there something I can put in there to stop the leak?
