it takes a while to get the summons in the mail. and yes, the cop was perfectly legal to stop you. when you go in to court, you will most likely get some money taken off the ticket, but you wont get out of it. youre best bet is to hire a lawyer if you want to completely get this ticket off your record. best advice i can give... if you dont want a ticket, dont speed.
