He clearly is happy with the stripe while you dramatically questioned his decision for your own personal reasons. I try not to negatively comment about someone else's model that doesn't fit my personal ideal of that particular car. If I see a model that disappoints me like that, I keep quiet. Particularly if the builder is happy with the results and doesn't ask for more input on the solution.
A comment like "Sorry, I preferred it without the stripes" would have been more than sufficient without giving the impression that you think he's done something terribly wrong, unless that was your ultimate intention.

I thought that a forum is there for discussions not just for saying : "wonderful, beautiful, great, excellent etc." even if that is the case, so I gave my honest opinion.
It wasn't a negative comment, it was my opinion. And just because I explained why I felt so it doesn't mean that there is a need to ridicule my opinion.
Anyway, I like the work he is doing and I'll follow it to the end.
