Question Hard start, unsteady idle, choppy acceleration

To be diagnosed... '89 Accord LX-i Sedan 2.0L

When starting, my engine cranks once or twice, then stops. I let go and try again, same thing. It usually starts on the third or fourth try. It sounds like it's sticking, maybe?

When idling, it seems to be missing a beat. Noticeable vibrations from the engine. Perhaps a spark plug isn't firing, or a cylinder isn't getting fuel. My fuel injectors are only about 3 months old.

When accelerating up to about 3,000 RPMs, the acceleration is "choppy." Again, seems like it's missing a beat. Seems fine while cruising at freeway speeds.

So, are there any easy explanations that I could check on with only a socket wrench? Where to begin? Let me know if I need to add any more info about the car... [sigh] I can't afford this...
