Generally speaking, yes its possible. Quite a few cars around here have been professionally modified to run on propane and gasoline. All the original fuel-injected gasoline components are retained, with a full propane system added as well. A dashboard-mounted switch changes it over.

The downside here is the propane tank usually goes in the trunk, which takes up a lot of space.
Also, such a conversion must be professionally done to be safe. I have done a couple of home made conversions using universal kits on old carbureted vehicles. Such jobs are imho dangerous.

Finally, the cost of such a kit can buy a lot of gasoline. You would have to crunch some numbers and make sure you drive enough for the expense to be worthwhile.
