Fujimi 1/24 Nissan Skyline R32 AXIA - finished 22.11.

Hello!

I'm back again with a new kit (Revell Cervini is on the side for a while).

Kit is supplied in a standard Fujimi kinda packaging, meaning:
- very sensitive body plastics,
- drivetrain is same as the one on my S13
- a lot of add-ons (nicely detailed braking discs, Recaro-like seat, exhaust side pipe...)
- Cartograf decals (printed 2005 A.D.)
- widened axles
- roll cage and nicely detailed racing interior

Pics of the kit:

Modifications:
- cut off the original end of the sideskirts and replaced them with the racing kind of sideskirts,
- the lights had a big gap when I glued the bumper to the body,
- I splitted the lights glass (directional lights and lights glass are separate now),
- I also had to glue the last vent shield onto the hood.

To do list:
- I have to polish the body,
- mount the mirrors,
- paint the interior,
- PE seatbelts mounting,
- interior wiring,
- lowering of the car (I fixed the rear part so I still have to do the front)

Decals are on the body...

...and after 48 hours I applied a few layers of 2k clearcoat (I also painted the inside of the rims). As you can see
on the following pic, the car has to be lowered since it's a race car.

Fujimi instructed me to chopp the dashboard:

Thanks to Fujimi I also had to scratch the door opening mechanism. I drilled a hole in the door,
glued a piece of styrene on the outside and glued the handle
inside the "pot".

I also had to make new kevlar decal because the Fujimi's has incorrect shape. Original is on the right and
Mr.Modeler's kevlar on the left (mine).

I also had some time to paint the small parts.

Here's what my doors will look like (I'll put some BMF on the doors):

...and here's the whole topic of this R32 Skyline.

Can anyone please tell me what is this cylinder on the right side of the photo for? Te pipeline is similar to the fuelline...

The thing is located next to the doors on both sides as you can see on the following pic.
