The part where my boot rubs tends to wear it out but I just try and keep on top of it and keep the frame shining like yours.
Edit: You can kind of tell in this picture next to my old SL (which by the way had a rock thrown through the winshield by some guy who also tried to steal my grill last night...long story).
Fortunately, I had my VR4 in the garage so it's still fine.
