another noob w/87 crx dx
I too, just baught a 87 crx DX and am looking at droping a D16z6 in it.
as to your Q. A DX has a 12valve carb engin (with a big round air filter on top) the SI has the filter in a box in the bottom left corner of the engin compartment, not to mention you can see the fi rails.shawn decribed the HF well so i wont go there.
my DX has a D15a2 on a engin id plate on the frame near the battery.
