Having proved itself on the racecourse, Ferrari's distinctive red paint has now proved its worth for use in space as well.
After rigorous testing, the European Space Agency will integrate a sample of Ferrari's "Rosso Corsa" into the Mars Express during a ceremony on Sept. 18, at the agency's INTESPACE facility in, Toulouse, France.
Above: This 3cc sample of Ferrari's distinctive red paint 'Rosso Corsa' will accompany the European Space Agency's Mars Express spacecraft as it heads to the Red Planet, Mars. The sample is contained within a specially constructed glass globe, 2 cm in diameter and sealed into a PMMA (polymethyl metacrylate) block. Credits: ESA
