94 - 97 PCMs are OBDI hybrids and hence the 'e' portion of the trans ID are electronically controlled.
As stated, check your fluid out before jumping to conclusions. Does it go into any gear? Try going all the way down to ! then up to D, maybe the selector cable is broken or streched?
