Did a little poking around. TRD Solara = Supercharged. Stock puts down ~255-265 to the wheels. They are FWD. Tons of them on youtube on the dyno. Plus a manual trans.
My stupid trans winds out 3rd and doesn't shift into OD at WOT...if I had another gear I would have walked him no problem. Instead, I'm watching my tach wind out to the 6500 mark before I finally have to let OFF the gas in order to get into OD so I can continue to accelerate - albeit not quickly enough since I only get my top gear at part throttle.
Not to mention, this guy had a head start of, oh, 3 miles. lol. He and an Acura TL were already racing when they passed me, and I gave chase. I was able to close the gap substantially from 75-95, then my lack of gearing let him start to walk away.
So it makes sense.
From a dig, I should have had him.
I need more bewst. lol.
